Discourse Communities

We are members of various Discourse Communities.

In Module 4 we are examining our belonging to Discourse Communities.

Your hobbies, your interests, your academic major, your religion, your favorite performers dictate your choices of people you surround yourself with. You have much in common with others who share your interests or passions and together you form a network. When that network exhibits specific characteristics, it becomes a Discourse Community.
